[Diary Form] Here and Now

If you ask me when was my last time I laughed out loud, I'll be quite hesitated because I don't even remember when and the feeling of real happiness. I wonder what pure happiness is every time I see children playing around and laughing. They look so innocent and divine like angels. That's what I long for. Nothing bothers me and I have no worries. I think I was happy when I was in the United States. But it was definitely an exception. Escaping from the ordinary life, I started a new and adventurous life there for 41 days. I made a new self in the United States. My previous experience and what happened to me didn't matter in this new environment. I didn't want them as a burden of my new life so I threw them away. However, after 41 days, I went back and faced my original life inevitably. I realized that I didn't belong to this dreamland. I picked up what I had already thrown away there and back here.
I was even confused when I started learning counseling. To me, everyone needs a counselor or a way to release pressure. I assume that everyone has a little problems. If we don't solve it, it will getting serious.  I, now, do really need some help.

[Postcards] The Eye of Taichung

This time I'm going to introduce you these four postcards. Do you notice that there is an eye in this picture?

The Eye of Taichung

These four are designed by my friend, who is an art major in NTNU. She is really talented, isn't she?

Taichung, in the central of Taiwan, is my hometown. I lived there before I go to Taipei for university. As you know, Taipei is the capital of Taiwan. Taipei is not far away from Taichung. It only takes 1 hour if you take Taiwan High Speed Rail(but it's expensive.) Ya, time is money,though.

臺中(Taichung) is the blue area in this map.
Although these postcards are called The Eye of Taichung, they  actually involve Nantou, which is the only county that is not near  the sea in Taiwan.  Don't ask me why they are named like that.  Only my friend knows. XD

This place is definitely worthy of visiting. Oh, but I haven't visited there yet. What a shame!!!

Lavender Cottage

Lavender Cottage has several branches in Taiwan but the original one is in Xinshe, Taichung.

My friend form junior high sent the cute bear postcard to me four years ago.

This postcard was from Lavender Cottage in Mingde, Miaoli. I miss my lovely friend so much. <3 I haven't seen her for several months. Every time I see this postcard and her handwriting, I just can't help recalling the wonderful time we had in our junior high school when we planed to explore every place in Taiwan. God, that was long time ago!!

These two mailboxes are so cute! The left one....hmm....maybe is used to send a mail to your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend. Obviously, the right one  is for family. I took these two photos in Jiufen, Taipei.

Luce Memorial Chapel

Luce Memorial Chapel is one of the most famous spots in Taichung. Haha, this place is really near where I live. It only takes me 15 minutes to walk there from my house.

The chapel is located in Donghai University.
I remember that I loved to play with my younger sister and younger brother on the field in summer. We played Frisbee and climbed the tree. Well, my childhood memory. :)

Sun Moon Lake

As you can see the map up there, Sun Moon Lake is situated in Nantou. The ropeway started to work in 2009. It can take you from Sun Moon Lake to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village(a theme park)

OK, this is not I want to tell you today. The point is I receive this postcard which is from Belarus. The postcrosser wrote something really exciting at the bottom of the card. She wrote "P.S. I.....am ......Sherlocked!" Isn't that great? Yes, it IS!!

[Photo Diary] Skirts, Easter Egg,The Hobbit

"Oh! See these beautiful skirts!" Michelle and I always said that when we saw somebody sell the Bohemia pattern skirts, but we didn't even have the guts to spend  890NT on a skirt until THAT day, the day before Japanese students came. Michelle used a common strategy which is really useful that you must learn. The secret is "Two are always stronger than only one" XDDD She bargained a better price successfully. And....here are the skirts! :D

We call them Skirts of Six Steps away because our beds and desks are about six steps far. Just like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants ,we have the sisterhood of the skirts of six steps away and the rules! (I love The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants!! <3 ) We can exchange the skirt if we want.  (☆^ー^☆)

Below are the rules:

1.) Don't pick your nose when wearing the skirt 
2.) Don't be a caveman
3.) Don't hand-wash the skirt ( The vendor said so)
4.) Do swearing while wearing the skirt
5.) Be a girl, not a bitch  
6.) Love your skirt, love your sister <3

I have to confess that we are cavemen. I guess I can get everything done after getting up and leave the dorm in 15 minutes. 

I seldom dress girly. I mean in a skirt and wear make-up. Yes, this could be another remarkable date to me. An unbelievable breakthrough will never upset your old friends. Believe me, my junior high school friends are really interested in what I will look like when in a skirt. Maybe, a girl, I think. :P

One day in last semester, we found a fancy Greek restaurant near our university. (Yep, it is right in the Shida night market. If you happen to know this restaurant, go there! This store will never disappoint you!)

[An Eater] When We Are Together

At first, I only wanted to buy a piece of pie to go. However, my friend suggested that we stay at the store for a while because we were not in a hurry. We could sit down and enjoy these delicious pies. Other than a piece of pie, I ordered a yogurt salad as well. Later on, I regretted ordering that salad. I was too full when I finished the pie and I didn't have extra space for the salad.

(Ok! Now I am going to be not so "formal" in writing. This should be a happy and lovely one! )

Once upon a time, there was a teacher who strongly recommended carrot pies of this store. Then, I tried it boldly and found it hard to pick up right words describing the taste. Oh! It was too complicated! Also, this was my first time eating carrot cake so I couldn't do the contrast with carrot cakes that other stores sold. BUT! This is not what I want to tell you today. :P 

We had wonderful pies today. Glen and I ordered raspberry & cheese flavor pies.

Michelle wanted to eat OREO flavor pie. That made me recall the test we had on the first day last semester. We had an English writing test, which was used for class distribution. Michelle said she wrote about OREO and that was why now she is taught by an awesome teacher in her writing class. I admit that I am poor at writing. But, I try my best to keep writing in English. I hope someday I can write good English compositions as well as I do in Chinese!!:D

Anyway, I got a very good mood today! Thanks a lots, my friends!!
